Holidays, 5771 (2010 – 2011)
The Jewish calendar is full of joyous and meaningful holidays and we want to be part of your celebrations and commemorations. As soon as the last sounding of the Shofar on Yom Kippur, join us to break the fast. We’ll jut turn around and Sukkot will be here with lots of opportunities to fulfill the mitzvah of eating in the sukkah. Dancing, music, and our famous Tifereth Israel Ad Hoc Polyphonic Klezmer Orchestra will get the party going to celebrate Simchat Torah.
In December, we come together as a congregation to light our hanukkiot and in the spring, there is the raucous fun celebrating Purim with our annual Purimshpiel, Carnival and hundreds of Hamantaschen for purchase and pleasure. We’ll give you plenty of new ideas to help you get ready for Passover and then we’ll study late into the night at our Tikun Leil Shavuot.
