A High Holy Day Message from Our President

Small Shofar

Dear Congregants,

The High Holy Days are fast approaching. We are very fortunate to have a beautiful facility big enough to accommodate all our members. We are also happy to make room for visitors. Tifereth Israel Synagogue is a warm and inclusive place during these most important days of the Jewish calendar.

There are lots of plans to be made and we are here to help you have the best High Holy Day season ever. Below, you will be able to "click through" to a complete schedule of the holidays, details about how to make arrangements for your High Holy Day attendance, and the other events we are pleased and proud to offer to you and your family.

There are some things to remember. Tickets will only be mailed to those members who have fulfilled their past financial obligations to Tifereth Israel Synagogue. Additionally, members are now required to have paid 40% of their 2007-2008 dues and 50% of their Facility Maintenance and Preservation fee obligations or to be on a payment plan before they may receive their tickets. If you have any questions about your financial status, please call the office at (619) 697-6001. We will do everything possible to make this process easy for you.

If your financial obligations are current you should be receiving your tickets at the end of August. Included will be tickets for your dependent children (living at home, 23 years or younger or full time students with an ID). We can also accommodate your guests at a modest charge. If you require extra tickets, please fill out and return the reservation form by Friday, August 20th.

We appreciate your kind, generous, and continued support and look forward to greeting you in the New Year!

Shalom,
Marla Lobenstein, President
