We are dedicated to meeting the ever-changing wants and needs of our congregation. Shabbat and holiday celebrations, social events, family-friendly gatherings and more round out our year. Make Shabbat Special
Family Shabbat. First Friday monthly, 6:15 p.m.
Welcome Shabbat with a special service for young children and their families! This service is perfect for youngsters who are becoming acquainted with the prayers and melodies and while becoming familiar with attending and participating in services. Everyone is invited to share this special time with our congregational family.

Tot Shabbat and Junior Congregation: Second Saturday monthly, 10:30 a.m.
Tot Shabbat and Junior Congregation are designed with the kids in mind.
Tot Shabbat is for our preschool age children. Stories, songs, and fun activities await you! For those 18 months and younger, we welcome you with an accompanying adult. And what would Shabbat be without Challah and Grape Juice?
Junior Congregation welcomes children in grades K – 6. The Torah Service, an explanation of the weekly parasha, and other creative learning make this service a fun place to be.
Shir Chadash Shabbat
Our Shir Chadash Band brings the music and ruach (spirit) to this musical Shabbat experience. Worshipers of all ages love the feeling this musical ensemble has added to our Kabbalat Shabbat service. Shir Chadash will accompany Kabbalat Shabbat services on the third (usually) Friday of each month.

What could be better than a night on the town? A night on the town with your gal pals! This is just the ticket. Our chicks get together throughout the year for cocktails, dinner and a movie. Who’s a chick? Any adult gal who wishes to join us. Our chicks range from their 20’s to their 80’s! So grab your best gal pals and spend the evening with us. Israeli Dance: GET ON YOUR FEET!: Sunday Evenings as announced.
Instructor Paul Kalmar invites everyone, novices to the more experienced, to enjoy the music and movement. Experience new and modern Israeli dance incorporating Middle Eastern, latin, Swing, and Hip Hop, as well as line and partner dance. it’s not the same old Hora anymore! Take a look at what’s in store…
TIS Presents: Special Opportunities for Local Performing and Visual Arts
Our goal is to provide unique programming, discounted tickets or other benefits to members and friends with an enduring interest in local cultural events. Concerts, plays, Opera and museum exhibits have been part of our repertoire. Look for announcements of upcoming events on our website, in The Shofar, and in the Programming E-Newsletter.
