The High Holy Days are a family affair at Tifereth Israel Synagogue. Let us help you include your children.

Youth Services

1st and 2nd Day Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur
September 29, 30, and October 8, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Grades K – 2, Classroom 12
Grades 3 – 6, Goodman Chapel

Separate age-appropriate services will be held for children in grades K-2 and grades 3-6. Please RSVP online (scroll down the page — Youth Services is after the child care reservations) or with a completed reservation form if your child(ren) will be attending.

Child Care

For children 18 months old through Pre-Kindergarten

First Day Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
18 months through age 2, Classroom 3
Ages 3 through Pre-Kindergarten, Classroom 5

Second Day Rosh Hashana, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
All ages, Classroom 3

If your child is in diapers, please provide the diapers, wipes and an extra set of clothes. A snack will be provided. If your child has an allergy, please provide their own dairy or pareve snack.

Reservations can be made online or by completing the reservation form and sending it to the office. Reservations are required in order to accommodate your child(ren). When reserving child care, a parent/guardian is required to volunteer 30 minutes per child per day in the classroom.

For children younger than 18 months and nursing mothers, Room 6 will be open and available. This room will not be staffed, children must be accompanied by an adult..
