Let’s Reach In — Offer Your Support to the Russell Family
Our November Shofar highlighted the battle that our members, Heather and Shawn Russell, are facing. If you have not had a chance to learn about them, please visit their page here on our website.
In the coming months we will offer many ways in which TIS members and friends can provide for the Russell Family. Those opportunities will be advertised in the Shofar, through email, and here on our website. Currently, we are offering a partnership with Suzie’s Farm Raiser Program, a direct donation opportunity, and the Russells were our Embraced Family for Chanukah. Next up, we will be having a Fun Run for the Russells. Will you be there?
Hand Up Youth Food Pantry
Thank you to all those who contributed to our Annual High Holy Day Food Drive. Did you know that Tiferereth Israel Synagogue continues to collect food throughout the year in partnership with San Diego’s Jewish Family Service Hand Up Youth Food Pantry? Remember to bring any non-perishable food items to the synagogue often. Hunger doesn’t take a holiday.
One Earth Recycling
We are fortunate that One Earth has extended the following offer to members and friends of Tifereth Israel Synagogue: mention Tifereth Israel and they will make a donation to the synagogue for every pound that you recycle. Click here for details.

Tikun Olam: A Social Action Update
We are committed to participating in a broad range of projects. Check here on the website and read the Shofar for updates on the various projects. If you know of a project we should consider, please notify Beth Klareich by email or call (619) 697-6001 ext. 108. We welcome your volunteer efforts when required on certain projects. If this is your passion or you would like to lend a hand, let Beth know.
