Daily Minyan

Torah ScrollsTifereth Israel's weekday morning Shacharit service is held Monday through Friday at 7:30 a.m. and on Sundays, weekday Yom Tov, and secular holidays at 8:30 a.m. in the Goodman Chapel.

Tifereth Israel has the honor of being the only Conservative shul in San Diego that maintains a consistent daily morning minyan (the minimum of ten Jewish adults required for a full public worship service). We are continuing a tradition that dates back to our earliest years as a congregation.

Mr. I. Frank, who has been on a visit to Los Angeles, has returned to again take up his position as one of the ‘hustlers’ for the congregation. Mr. Frank has been one of the most active workers from the start and has not relaxed his interest — it will have to be below zero in San Diego when Bro. Frank does not succeed in making up a ‘minyan,’ as he tells every man he is the last one needed.

Our minyan is egalitarian and welcoming. Membership in Tifereth Israel is not required to attend. All are welcome, especially those in the community wishing to say Kaddish for Yahrzeit for a loved one. Torah readers are encouraged to join us and read Torah on Mondays, Thursdays, and Yom Tov.

A complementary bagel breakfast follows each morning Minyan in the Cohen Social Hall.
